James Montgomery has been married to his bride twelve years, and together they have four children. He was born and raised in Southern Utah, but relocated to the Salt Lake area in 2008.
James received his Associates Degree from the American Military University in General Studies. He continued his education and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 2014. James is currently working on his Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Capella University.
James’ background includes being an active member in the Alateen/Al-anon programs. He is a Certified Resiliency Skills Trainer , and actively trains Service Members and their families in becoming more resilient by learning and utilizing a series of skills aimed at improving the lives of others.
He is also an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Trainer program through the Living Works Foundation. The skills he teaches provides individuals the knowledge to effectively work with a person at risk and aims to reduce the suicide rate across the nation.
James’ primary goals and focus in recovery is addiction recovery and dual diagnosis recovery through his responsibilities as a Life Technician. He strives to help every client overcome the barriers that will be faced during active sobriety and recovery.
